New web site

Been a long time coming but we are nearly there! The old site whilst it functioned perfectly well was complex and difficult to keep updated and so we have moved to WordPress which will make the task much easier.

The process of updating everything will take a little while so there will be sections where, for example, images are missing, these were left off the migration move to reduce the file size and length of time needed.

Everything can be accessed via the menu at the top of the page and the whole website is now responsive for mobile devices. Any problems please let us know!

Spring Meeting March 4 2025

We have booked the Farringdon Room at St.Bride Foundation for our popular Spring Meeting. When the late Alan Crocker was Chairman he started the Spring Meeting as an opportunity for members to present topics that might be of interest to the rest of the membership. These topics can be short or long talks, videos, demonstrations or anything that is linked in some way, however tenuous, to paper.

Details of speakers and payment methods.

Eleanor Burkett studio sale

Eleanor Burkett is a paper and textile artist initially trained in Fine Art Textiles at Goldsmiths College, University of London, Ellie’s interest in handmade paper took her to Fukushima, Northern Japan and Tokyo where she studied Japanese paper techniques and textile processes for several years.

Migiwa Matsutani is going to Fukushima – Kamikawasaki – to help strip kozo bark for 10 days or so. This will greatly encourage the one papermaking family left. Eleanor is doing a studio sale to support this venture – details of the artworks for sale.
