SUMMARY:Visit to Eton College Library
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to visit Eton College Library\, the Chapel and their Conservation Studio on Wednesday 2nd September 2026 at 2:00pm. \nEton College was founded in 1440 by Henry VI as “Kynge’s College of Our Ladye of Eton beside Wyndesore”.  He made provision for 70 poor boys\, known as King’s Scholars\, to be housed and educated at Eton free of charge.  Alongside them additional boys could benefit from a free education but would have to pay for their accommodation.\nThe primary subject was Latin though Mathematics was added in 1857.\nFor more information about the college\, visit the Eton College website.  There is a lot to see at the College. \nThere are 2 Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead car parks in Eton ( Meadow Lane and Eton Court).  They take cash\,  cards and do Ringo .  Free disabled parking.  Windsor and Eton Riverside is the most convenient station for Eton.  There is also Windsor and Eton Central\, which connects to the Elizabeth Line\, but that is further\, 10 – 15 minute walk to Eton College which is at the end of Eton High Street. \nThe cost will be £18 each for members and their partners and £25 for non-members.  We need to know numbers so please book as soon as possible. \nPrintable information.

DESCRIPTION:At 2pm on the afternoon of Tuesday 29th September we have a rare opportunity to visit the College of Arms.  The visit to this heraldic centre includes a short tour of the College Record Room Library and a visit to the Conservation Department.  The visit will be led by Christopher Harvey and is limited to 15 people. \nThe College of Arms is on Queen Victoria Street\, near St.Paul’s Cathedral. \nPost Code EC4V 4BT \nThe nearest tube stations are Blackfriars\, St Pauls\, Mansion House. \nThose travelling to London and requiring accommodation will find a selection of excellent hotels in the Holborn Area. \nThe cost for the visit only will be £18 each for members and their partners and £25 for non-members.  We need to know numbers so please book as soon as possible. \nPrintable information.

SUMMARY:BAPH Autumn Meeting 2026
